07. COMPLIANCE & VERIFICATION
Trust Architecture
Built on Verification
Ahana Energy operates under a strict compliance framework aligned with UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) guidelines, international AML directives, and KYC standards required by our banking partners. Every counterparty is verified. Every transaction is documented. No exceptions.
AML FRAMEWORK
Anti-Money Laundering Pillars
Customer Due Diligence (CDD)
All counterparties undergo full identity verification before any engagement. We verify the beneficial ownership structure down to the 25% threshold and screen against global sanctions lists including OFAC, UN, EU, and HM Treasury.
Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD)
High-risk transactions, PEPs, and counterparties from high-risk jurisdictions are subject to Enhanced Due Diligence. This includes senior management sign-off, additional source-of-funds verification, and ongoing monitoring.
Transaction Monitoring
All transactions are monitored for unusual activity. Any pattern inconsistent with a client's known business profile triggers an internal review and, where required, a Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) filing with the relevant authority.
Beneficial Ownership Verification
We do not engage with shell companies that cannot identify their ultimate beneficial owner. Full UBO chains must be disclosed and verified before any SPA or banking instrument is initiated.
Banking Instrument Controls
We exclusively accept SBLC, DLC, MT103, and BG instruments from Top 25/50 ranked international banks. No cash transactions, cryptocurrency, or third-party payments are accepted under any circumstances.
Zero Tolerance for Fraud
Ahana Energy maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy toward intermediary fraud, upfront fee demands, and unauthorised mandate representations. We never charge fees before contract execution.
KYC DOCUMENTATION
Know Your Customer Requirements
All counterparties — buyers and sellers — must provide the following documentation before any commercial engagement. This is a non-negotiable requirement of our banking partners and internal compliance policy.
